She prayed for a miracle.
The universe sent you.

You.

The story: One prayer. A new god.

Gameplay: little Wren prays for her mother. You choose to heal her, and she cries with joy.

Heal her mother, send a dream of peace, or turn away.
Every prayer is a choice, and every choice is remembered.

Gameplay: Vesper greets you in the Hall. Hello, little god. Welcome to existence. It is mostly paperwork.

You wake up in a ruined hall above a tiny world called Mote. An angel named Vesper has been waiting for you.
She will teach you how to be a god. She will also tell you, very calmly, that being a god is mostly paperwork.

Your reign: A day for you. A decade for them.

Wren grows from a girl into an old woman, decade by decade.

Every day in your Hall, ten years pass on Mote. Children grow up. Prophets grow old.
Their grandchildren remember what you did, and what you didn't.

Gameplay: Old Tam asks for help with his wife's terrible singing. You make him deaf to it.

Answer prayers big and small. Some will break your heart. Some will make you laugh.
Every miracle costs Might, and you can't answer everyone.

Eleven romanceable angels: Even gods fall in love.

Forge angels from light, then get to know them. They have secrets, fears and very strong opinions.
Eleven of them can fall in love with you. And yes, they can get jealous.

Vesper, Advisor of the Hall. Cassiel, Sword of First Dawn. Kestra, the Stormglass Angel.

Ithiel, the Requiem Angel. Nyx, the Starless. Rook, the Unbound.

Isra, the Silver Tender. Elowen, the Gardener. Ash, the Penitent Flame.

...and two more you'll only meet much later.

Gameplay: Vesper confesses. I love you. There. That's it. That's the whole speech.

"I love you. There. That's it. That's the whole speech."
Vesper

The gods above: Devour, or be devoured.

In the Orchard, gods grow worlds like fruit. Your worshippers make you strong.
They also make you a better meal.

Book I: Vael, the First Hunger. Book II: Ysmeer, the Weaver of Endings. Book III: Ahrum, the Crown Below. Book IV: a god who has never had a name.

Make allies among the other gods, from a goddess of plenty to a stag who wants to hunt you.
Lead your angels into Divine Clashes. Or take a god's power the way they would take yours.

Gameplay: a Divine Clash against Brannoch, the Red Stag. After victory, you choose to devour him.

What awaits you: Fifty decades. Four Books.

  • Fifty decades in four Books. A branching story of about 7 to 10 hours per playthrough.
  • Eleven romanceable angels, each with their own love story. Or stay friends. They'll still have opinions.
  • Choices that echo for generations. Prophets, saints and grudges outlive the people who started them.
  • Gods to befriend, outwit, judge or devour. Every Book brings a new god at the top of the food chain.
  • Divine Clashes: turn-based battles where your angels fight side by side.
  • Seven final endings, and plenty of ways to fall before you reach them.
  • An illustrated storybook world, with painted scenes and voiced moments.

Development notes

GodsEater uses AI-assisted art and audio, directed and reviewed by its developer. Screenshots and animations show the October 2026 development build. Art and gameplay may change before release, we are also planning to rebuild the project entirely to remove all AI assisted assets and to make it 100% human made in future!
